Christmas Time

Christmas has come and gone and it was lovely. Every year I look forward to the Christmas traditions that we already have and I look forward to making new traditions. One of my favorite parts of Christmas is the Decorations. I was so excited to decorate this year. I couldn't wait to show Autumn all of the pretty lights and colors. Logan is a strong believer in waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate...I usually agree. But this year I was so anxious to get the Christmas stuff out. It took a lot of begging and wining but I finally got my way! We decorated for Christmas the weekend before Thanksgiving this year! I have enjoyed every minute of having all of these beautiful reminders of Christmas around me every day!

Probably my favorite Decoration on the Tree this year

My Favorite Christmas Decoration

We made our stockings our first Christmas being married...this year we added one for little Autumn

This is Logan's Nutcracker collection, Brooke gets him a new one each Christmas. This Year she gave him the silver snowman nutcracker.

I am proud to say that I made the Blocks Set Christmas Count Down at Relief Society Night...it turned out cuter than i thought it would.

I also made around 20 of these really cute Christmas Plates...these the the only ones I have left from this Year. They made great gifts.

We got these Christmas dishes for a wedding gift from one of Logan's Family Friends

Our Good Friends Emily and Colby Bell make us delicious Caramel Chocolate Apples each year. We love them...they are so good.

Our Beautiful Friends and Family Christmas Cards

We recieved many wonderful gifts from our Family and friends this year but I'm only putting a picture of one of each of our gifts.

Santa Clause Brought Autumn this gorgeous picture of the Savior with Little Children. The Picture is Called "Perfect Love" It is haning in her room now and she loves it. When I first showed it to her she reached out toward it and made some sounds like..."zee sus" I'm not kidding it sounded just like she was saying Jesus. I'm pretty sure she still rembers her big brother and I think she will love having this picture in her room.

This year Logan got me a miniture Sewing Machine and This awesome Craft Book. Since I have been done with school and I only work a few days a week I am home a lot more. I love being home with Autumn and being a mother, but I won't lie, being in the house all the time gets a little boring. I have taken up making hair bows and headbands and Logan thought I might enjoy branching out even more and learning to make more things. I am pretty excited to use my new gifts from him! He truly is so thoughtful. I always love his gifts.

My sister Rachael got Logan and new pair of his favorite pants. He has had them for around 5 years and they were getting pretty worn out. We have looked for them several times to replace them but were never able to find the same pair until this year. She got them for him and they look great! You can see how much his original pair has faded over the years. He really wore them out!

New on Left, Old on Right

One of my very favorite Traditions we have started is our Anual Friend Christmas party. We usually have dinner, a white elephant gift exchange and and Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. It is really fun to get together with friends we don't get to see that often and the ones we do. This year we had a great turn out. A lot of people wore great sweates! I wish i would have done a better job getting pictures of them. T.J. and Cami Benedict won 1st Place in the Sweater Contest, Rob Dansie won 2nd and Laurn and Mason Stanford won 3rd.

Brittney and Beckers looked so cute and Christmasy! His PJ's were the cutest they said "Santa's Favorite." And they had cute little Santa heads on the feet

One of the Things I look forward to most each year is Christmas Eve. Every year we go to a Resturant in Salt Lake and Kevin treats us all do a huge dinner. After eating way more than we should and then getting dessert we head off the Temple Square to do our Favorite Chrismas Activity. I love how every year Kevin gets a newer bigger and louder Sound System to blast Christmas Music while we ride around Temple Square in a Horse Drawn Carriage (The system from the previous year is never good enough anymore, "Not Loud Enough" According to Kevin). I love how we all squish into the back of one carriage with blankets, coats, hats, scarves and each other to keep warm. I love Taking pictures of the lights and my wonderful family. I love singing so loud and embarassing my cute husband, who doesn't like when everyone on the street is looking at us. I Love the happy wonderful feeling and spirit of Christmas that is always present. The best part this year was when Kev turned on the music and the driver said "You guys kick A**!" Ya our Family is pretty Awesome.

And of course the last but not least thing I love about Christmas time is that our Friends come home! Levi and Carolyn came home from New York for Christmas and they come over with their two little girls on the day after Christmas to see us. They brought Autumn a fun Christmas present, new pajamas with a cute princess crown for her 1st Birthday, which is coming up soon.

Poor Baby

Poor little Autumn is sick.

For the Last three weeks Autumn has been pretty sick. She sleeps all day long...she sleeps all night long. She has had a really bad cough, on and off fevers, an ear infection, diarrhea and a little bit of vomiting. She was put on an antibiotic for 10 days...this did nothing. I took her back to the Doctors where they gave her a stronger antibiotic for 10 days...still no improvment. Logan took her to the Doctor on Friday of last week and they told him she looks great and is fine. She still has all of the sympotms listed above. I took her back the doctor today for the 4th time this month where she had to undergo a lot...

First they did all the normal things: took her weight (17.6 lbs) her Temp (101.5) and checked her ears (still an infection in the left ear) and her breathing (weezy).

After doing these things the doctor decided he wanted her to be checked for the Flu, to do a check for the flu they take a swab from up her nose...she cried a lot. The flu was negative. She then had to have a Pku test run. To do this they pricked her foot and squeezed her bloode into a little tube...she really cried hard on this one. We don't have the results back on this on. He also wanted to have her lungs x-rayed. This was probably the worst part of the appointment as the pictures show...
In this one Logan and I are looking througha window at her...you can't really see her well but it was a sad sight. Here is the close up...It breaks my heart just looking at the picture. She was so sad.
Binki didn't help.
But being in her Daddy's arms made things a bit better. Her x-ray photos showed that she had a little something in her lungs...they aren't sure if it is bronchitis or perhaps even pnemonia. I really hope it isn't either. To finish off our Doctors appointment they sent us to the hospital to do some lab work where they can test her snot to see if she had bronchitis or pnemonia. We will get the results hopefully tomorrow. They put her on one more antibiotic that is pretty strong.

This is the hard part of being a parent. Watching your kids suffer is so so hard. I want to just make things better for her, it is so sad to see her so sick. She is so tired and looks so miserable all the time. She never wants to cuddle and for the last three days she has been really cuddly, always wants me to hold her always wants to be cuddling. That is the only thing that is good about her being sick, she'll actually cuddle with me.

It's Autumn's first Christmas and I really hope she is better in Time for it.
