One of my favorite trips I have ever been on...hmmm, well obveiously I love Mexico, but I've already blogged about that. I love all of our little weekend get aways to Logan's races, but I usually blog about those too...so I'm going to have to say my favorite trip I've been on wasn't actually a trip at all, but a temporary move to Orlando, Florida and then shortly after to Cedar Park, Texas and then back to Utah. It was an awesome summer...
It all started with a very, very long drive. We left Kaysville in the early evening because we were all packed up and axeious to get going. We drove straight through, or rather I should say Logan drove straight through. I drove probably 4 of the 36ish hours we were in the car and slept a good deal of the rest. This was our destination. Orlando Florida.
our apartments! It was beautiful...

So Florida was great. Logan worked everyday from noon until dark, while he was at work I spent pretty much all day every day at this pool just laying out and reading the twilight series. I got pretty tan. I did wear sun screen though I will have you know.

Well work in Florida didn't last long, the economy hit Orlando pretty hard and it seemed like the office was really struggling to get sales (Logan was working for Pinnacle Security, selling alarm systems). The Manager of his office made a decision to move the entire office to Austin, Texas, where he thought the sales would be better. So three weeks after we got to the beautiful Orlando, we packed our things and headed to Texas...but before we went we enjoyed some of what Orlando had to offer.
We have a hard time taking the picture ourselves and getting us both in it...he is just so tall...and I am just so short.

On our way out of Florida I got to go visit one of my besties, Lara. She was living in Miami Beach at the time and I hadn't seen her for awhile. We had fun just sitting on her bed talking and taking pictures.

We also got to visit a Family that Logan baptized on his mission. They moved to Florida after he came home from the Dominican Republic. I enjoyed this part of our trip so much. It was hard for me to communicate beacuse they didn't speak much english and I don't speak spanish well at all, but I could tell how much they Love Logan and it was very touching. They were so excited to see him. Staying there made me realize how very lucky I am. They had a very small one bedroom apartment, they kept their scooter (their only means of transportation) in their living room (which was also where their two daughters slept) and they had a very small kitchen and bathroom. They were so kind to us though. They insisted that we take their bedroom and the four of them slept on the floor of the living room.

Kenia cooked us a very delicious meal for dinner. It was Logan's favorite food on the mission. She made us some chicken with spices, and some rice and beans. It was simple, but it was so good. I tried to get the recepie from her but it didn't translate well...it was not too good when I tried to cook it for us a few months later.
This is a picture of me with the two daughters. I feel very proud to have this picture because they don't like to be in pictures and it took some convincing to get them to take one with me. :)

I am so glad Logan served a mission and was able to bring the Gospel into wonderful peoples lives (such as this wonderful family). I love him so much.
After visiting friends in Florida we made the drive to Texas (so much driving...I never want to drive across the country again). When we got there I fell in love with our apartement and had fun moving all our stuff in and decorating it.
I just really love my hair in this picture...oh and the boy is Ben, one of our friends out there. He came over for dinner a lot. We enjoyed his company.

In Texas I got a job with Pinnacle as well. I became the F.O.M or the Field Office Manager. I was in charge of paperwork, dealing with corp. and sending techitions to instalation sites. I really enjoyed my job, although it was prety stressful at times. I still had a lot of time to run, swim, lay out and hang out with Logan and that was so nice. Our work schedules were the same wich was ideal. We both worked from noon until dark (I only had to stay at the office until I got done with paperwork though, because I could take calls from anywhere...so I spent a lot of time at the pool!) Our schedules were really nice because we got to spend the mornings together and then we would usually watch a movie at night. We spent a lot of time together and it was the best thing for our marraige!
During that summer we got to celebrate our One Year Anniversary. Logan bought me tickets to the musical Wicked!
A lot of things happend that summer and it was so much fun. We also took a really fun trip (in the middle of our move/trip) to Mexico during that summer and it was fun to see our families. In Mexico I had and accident and ended up in a Mexican emergency room getting stitches in my head. So scary.
At then end of the summer I ended getting to fly home and Logan drove home with Raja. I was still in my 1st trimester and still get pretty sick a lot of the time, so we figured it would be best if I didn't have to drive all that way. I'm so glad I didn't, although I felt bad making Logan do the drive by himself. He made it home alright though! And then we told our families were were expecting! It was all very exciting!
