Day 19: What's in Your Makeup Bag?

I have never been a big make up girl. When I was younger I never really knew how to use make up. I thought it was weird that girls would use foundation and blush and lip stick and such. Back then I was quite blessed and had good skin. After I had my cute baby though things changed for me. My skin has been red, splotchy, and I get acne spots all the time. I decided I need to do somthing about it because I really didn't feel very pretty. I talked with an estitician that works at the salon I work at and she introduced me to GLO (gloprofessional.com it's a mineral product and it is awesome)! I am in love. It is seriously amazing stuff. I love their theriputics line, I have been using it for about a month and my skin is clearing up very nicely. But I really LOVE their makeup. I use their pressed powder base, it makes my skin look so even and smooth. I use their "sweet" blush, it is light pink and has a bit of a shimmery hue to it. I use their under eye highlight concealer, it helps with the little black baggies under my eyes and makes them shimmer as well. I have an eye shadow trio called "copper sheen" and I get comments on it all of the time. And I have another eye shadow trio called "mulberry" I like this one for evening wear. It's a little darker and more dramatic. Then I have cheap walmart eye liner, Covergirl mascera and victoria secret gloss. I like wearing makeup now. But I don't feel like I have too much going on.

I have a client that I cut her hair every three weeks. She came in for her hair cut about two weeks after I started using this new line and after a few mintues she said to me "Christa your skin looks amazing, are you doing something different?" It made me so excited that someone noticed and felt that it was a big enough change to comment on. (My bangs were even pinned back that day so my whole face was exposed.)

Well that is what is in my makeup bag...oh and also a lot of bobbie pins, hair ties and an eyelash curler.
