MEXICO

We went to Mexico the first week of August with Logan's Family. It was so much fun! It was Autumn's first time on an airplane...she did great. Grandma Joy helped with Autumn so much the entire trip This was Autumn's first time at the beach, we went down as soon as we got all settled in at the resort. I think she liked the sand between her toes feel !
One of the days on our trip the family went Scuba Diving. It was Logan's first time and he had a blast! I stayed home with Autumn that day because she's just a bit to little to do that. I hope we go again some time when Autumn is a little older so I can try it too!
To get into the water you have to fall off the boat backwards. Here goes Logan...

SPLASH!! Look at his cute little legs!

After the long day of Scuba everyone was pretty hungry so we went to a little restaurant just outside of the resort, it was pretty good. It ended up being one of the favorite spots for fajitas on the trip.
Autumn and Daddy just after dinner. She is so dang cute!

We went to the flee markets on one of the days and had a lot of fun finding little things and bartering for them. We got Autumn a cute little Mexican dress, a fishy mobile to hang above her crib (I bartered him down for 250 pesos to 80 pesos! I was pretty proud) and Logan and I both got ponchos.
Autumn just loves her Beautiful Aunt Brooke. She is so good with her.

Autumn with Grandpa Kevin, she was getting pretty hot so he held her in front of a big fan to cool her offShe looks good in Daddy's favorite glasses too! This is Logan's favorite swim suit of hers...It's a little too big, but it still looks pretty cute! Grandmas Simmons gave it to her, it used to be mine
Mary-Ashley and I were so excited to see the ocean, she was swinging me around

This cute Mexican couple just loved Autumn. She wanted to hold her so bad! She was tickling her and kissing her, I didn't know what they were saying exactly but they were just loving her!
Autumn had her first taste of Guacamole! Now she is officially part of the family because we all love guacamole and have it every Sunday at Grandma Joy's house! I don't know how much she liked it...but I'm sure in a few years she'll love it!
Every night during happy hour we would all go down to the bar and get Pina colatas (they were virgin...don't worry!) and just talk about what we did that day and what we liked about it. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip, just hanging out and talking with everyone. One of the nights we started talking about when the kids were younger, I love it when they start telling their stories, Logan starts laughing so hard he almost cries. It's pretty funny. Most of the funny stories are things he would do and blame on Steven or things Steven did. Our family would be pretty boring if Steven wasn't a part of it.

At the beginning of the week Logan and I went on a mountain biking outing. It was a really fun outing, probably one of the best ones we've ever done. It was just he and I and a tour guide. It was a pretty hard ride. It started out in town and we rode through the streets for about five minutes and then we started up a dirt trail. There were so many hills...I thought I was going to die. At the top there was a waterfall and a big pool of water you could jump into, if I hadn't had that to look forward to I probably wouldn't have made it. Logan did great he would go to the top of the hill and then wait for me. I did pretty well the first half and then I got so tired I had to push my bike up the hills.

But eventually we made it to the top! It was really beautiful.

Here is Logan just casually waving before he jumps off the cliff into the water

Logan in mid jump...I'm not very good at taking pictures, I couldn't get a clear picture of this, I tried about five times before he was like "No more, it's your turn." I was so scared. I just couldn't do it. I stood at the edge forever just saying over and over again, "I don't think I can do it Logan."

But I finally worked up the courage and jumped! I screamed so loud it hurt my ears. Logan is clearly better at taking pictures than I am cause I'm not a big blur in my picture.
After we finished swimming we hopped back on our bikes and rode back down the mountain. It was a much faster ride on the way down thank goodness!
This is us with our Tour guide. He was so nice. He didn't speak much English but Logan and him talked a lot in Spanish, that is always fun for Logan to keep up on his Spanish.
Logan is so buff! He is just showing off his huge muscles after that bike ride!

My legs got pretty dirty on the way down, we had to ride through a shallow part of the river....My feet got soaked!
My huge muscles! I felt so buff after finishinig the intense ride.
We went to dinner in Town and Pipi's! Pipi's is our favorite resturant every year!
We went surfing on our last day there. It was probably the funnest day of the whole trip for everyone. We went to a way pretty beach and rented boared and took turns going out and trying to surf. I think most of us were able to get up at least a few times!
Autumn has cute chubby feet and legs...Aunt Brooke has skinny little feet and legs!

The girlis just posing with our boards
Mary did a back flip off of Aaron's shoulders and Cody did a great job capturing it with his water proof camera.
Brooke, Mary and I...I love these girls!

Our cute bums.
CANDY! A little boy was walking along the beach with this wheelbarrow full of candy. We got theses yummy little chewy watermelon ones...they were so good.

Logan looks like a true California boy surfer. He's so hot!

Most of the time we were just sitting or paddling around on our boards waiting for waves, but it was pretty fun.
We also spent a lot of the time playing at the resort! There are huge pools, a water slide, a lazy river, and it's right on the beach...
Logan domintated the jumping contest in the lazy river
Logan stole Autumn's floaty
This is the slide I cracked my head open coming off last year...
I defeted it this year with no injuries!

Even Autumn went down it, with her Daddy of course
He held her up pretty good, but her face still got pretty wet. She's going to be crazy when she grows up, she has no fear.

She Looked so cute in the little dress we got her

*Fireworks*

This year for the 4th of July (wich was actullay celebrated on the 3rd beacause the 4th fell on a Sunday) we went to the Kaysville Fireworks! I was a little worried about Autumn, with how loud they are I thought they would scare her and she would be crying the whole time. But she loved them! she didn't cry at all. she layed on my chest and actually watched them. She followed them with her eyes, I was more entertained watching her than I was by the fireworks. I'm so amazed by how smart she is. I love her! It was a fun night!
She had a really cute red bow on the whole day but she fell asleep before we left for the fireworks and when she's sleeping Logan usually takes her headbands off. He thought he had put it in the diaper bag but he really left it at his moms in his old room where she had taken her nap. I was getting so frustrated looking for it and then I realized that it really doesn't matter if she has it on all the time or not. She is so cute either way and my bad attitude about it was ruining the night. So I just got over it.

Logan got a bit of a sunburn at the parade earlier in the day. He didn't put any sunscreen on. It doesn't look nearly as bad as it really was in this picture!

I love our family!

I am very greatful to live here in America. I love the rights and freedoms that I enjoy everyday. I am greatful for all of the men and women who serve this country and have given their lives to protect our way of life.

Catchin' Up

There have been a few things lately that i've missed on my blog so today will be the catch up...

The Best Two Years

On June 17 Logan and I celebrated our 2 Year Wedding anniversary. Logan's Dad, Grandpa Mike, babysat Autumn so we could go out for the night, just the two of us. We had a great time. We went to dinner at Red Lobster where we shared King Crab Legs, Shrimp, Steak, and Mashed Potatoes. It was all very good. After dinner we went to the Gateway! It's one of our favorite places to go. Our very first official date we went to the gateway and shopped for new dress clothes for logan cause he had just gotten a job at Wells Fargo, we like to stop there and just walk around everytime we go to Salt Lake now, it has sort of become a little tradition. At the gateway Logan told me for my present I got to go shopping and I could spend $100! We got there around 8:45 and we didn't realize that most of the stores would be closing in 15 minutes because it's summer and it doesn't seem very late because of how light it stays outside, so I only got to try on a few things...but luckily I found two shirts that I really liked! My gift to Logan was some Aqua Di Gio colonge. It smells so so good on him. mmm! After shopping we went to the movies and saw The Killers. It had some funny parts but for the most part it was dissapointing. Overall it was a fun night together! It's been a great two years!

Holding up our fingers for our two years!

next event I missed...

AUTUMN'S BABY BLESSING

Logan Blessed Autumn on June 6th 2010. Her blessing was beautiful. Some of the things in her blessing were that she would be obedient to her parents, that she would be chaste, that she would have good health, that she would find a worthy man who would marry her in the temple, and that she would be kind to others and have charity.

She looked like a little angle on the day of her blessing, she wore the same blessing dress that I was blessed in. She was so happy and good the whole day, even though she was being passed around a lot, everyone wanted a turn to hold her!

She is so beautiful and such a blessing to us. We love her more than anything and we are really enjoying her as an addition to our family. We love you Autumn!

I can't believe we've already had her for three months! It seems like I can't remember life with out my little angle. Here are some pictures for her first three months of life!

Her Very first picture...she looks like she got in a fight

Being Weighed, while this was happening Logan looked at the doctor and said, "so she's not very cute, is she?" She did look a little scary all covered in after birth and blood, but after a bath she was the cutest thing we've ever seen!

Swim, Swim, Swimming!

We took Autumn for her first swim! It took her a bit to get used to the water, but once she did she loved it! She is so cute! We just can't get enough of her!

After her toes went in she wasn't so sure about it...

But once mom had her she was good! Her hat was a little big...

And she loved relaxing on the floaty with her daddy!

First Day Away From Autumn

So I stated work today at a Salon in Layton called Olde Mill. I had a hard time leaving my cute little girl home (Even though she was with her Grandma Joy). I'm glad I'll only be working two days a week and every other Saturday or I don't think I'd be able to do it. But other than leaving Autumn at home, it was great! I've missed doing hair and I just love the salon I'm at! I was a little worried about how much I would be making because I thought I was starting at 10% commission and moving up based on how much retail I sold, which didn't make a lot of sense to me but I didn't say anything. Then today at the end of my shift my friend was showing me my end of day report and she said, "so you made about $100 dollars today." Then I said, "No, I'm starting at 10% commission." Everyone started laughing and then my boss Lynn said, "No, No, you are making 10% of all the retail you sell, but you are maiking 55% commission on your services." It was great news, although I sort of felt like an idiot for thinking she was talking about my services all along.
